Mission to support the implementation of the Access to Finance for Micro Small Businesses project

The Special Projects Management Unit hosts between May 02 and 05, a World Bank mission, under the Project of Access to Finance for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), in order to take stock of the activities listed in the project.

 

This Monday (02) morning, the WB team met with the UGPE, in order to assess important aspects to ensure the proper execution and implementation of the project, namely, the disbursement of the work plan, the performance of the project components in relation to the results framework, as well as the performance of the disbursements and decide on the appropriate contingencies to disburse all the project funds before the end of June 2023.

 

Under the coordination of the project manager, Nuno Gomes, UGPE was represented by the Finance Director and his staff, the environmental and social and monitoring specialist and the evaluation specialist, and Procurement.

 

During four days the mission led by the Lead Financial Sector Specialist and Task Team Leader, Mazen Bouri and the Lead Private Sector Specialist, António Baptista from the World Bank, will meet with several institutions/beneficiaries of the referred project.
