On March 3rd, fourteen employees from the Special Projects Management Unit received certificates of completion of the English language skills reinforcement course, delivered by the UGPE Coordinator, in substitution, Daniel Santos.
It was the culmination of an action to reinforce language skills integrated within the scope of the Project to Reinforce Education and Development of Skills financed by the World Bank, which included employees from other beneficiary entities. With a view to strengthening the skills of beneficiary entities and those responsible for implementing activities, particularly the level of preparation and submission of documents in English and improving oral proficiency.
The training lasted 6 months, with a workload of 100 hours, in the intensive modality and its main objectives were (i) to contribute to the improvement of the performance of UGPE collaborators in the implementation of the Project’s activities, (ii) to enable the acquisition of linguistic tools to better perform their tasks within the activities of projects financed by the World Bank. For its implementation, a training entity specializing in language courses was recruited.
The UGPE, as an entity responsible for the general coordination and fiduciary management of Projects financed by external partners, has sought to strengthen the technical and institutional skills of beneficiaries and their collaborators, with a view to improving overall performance in the implementation of the activities of the several Projects.
