Special Projects Management Unit participates in the opening session of the Teach Primary Cabo Verde training course

The Special Projects Management Unit attended the opening session of the TEACH PRIMARY CABO VERDE Training, held on Monday (29) in the city of Praia, represented by the Human Capital Project Manager, Clarisse Silva.

The main aim of this training is to form a national team of 30 observers and trainers to implement the #TEACHPRIMARY pilot in 4 municipalities in the country (Praia, Santa Cruz, Sal and São Vicente).

This is an initiative, promoted by the #DireçãoNacionaldeEducação, which includes a series of actions and strategies aimed at the supervision, training and professional development of teachers. The aim is to offer teachers the support they need to overcome their daily challenges, with a direct impact on their performance and educational results.

It is important to note that Teach Primary is a classroom observation tool, particularly the quality of student-teacher interactions. It is an instrument for diagnosis, supervision and monitoring with a view to improving the quality of teaching and learning practices.

In the field of education, the Human Capital Project seeks to improve the quality of the current education system, ensuring that all young people acquire relevant skills for the job market. In order to achieve this goal, the project aims to strengthen the professional development of teachers, implement new training strategies and improve the system for supervising learning results, always aiming for the continuous improvement of education in Cape Verde.

It should be noted that the Government of Cape Verde has received support from the #WorldBank to implement the Human Capital Project, as part of the new National Strategy for Sustainable Development (PEDS 2021-2030 – Ambition 2023).
