Following the news in the media about allegations of alleged cases of sexual harassment, bullying, workplace harassment and influence peddling involving Pró Garante, the Special Projects Management Unit (UGPE), as the contracting entity of those involved, and given the seriousness of the allegation, informs the following:
- Regarding the process involving the Consultant hired by UGPE, via international public tender, within the scope of the implementation of the project “Access to Financing for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises”, financed by the World Bank, to exercise the functions of Executive Director of Pró-Garante, it should be clarified that, after having received the serious denunciation, UGPE, complying with the procedures established by the financing entity at the time of negotiation of the referred project, made the categorization of the same and forwarded the case for inquiries with the competent entities in the matter;
- It was also communicated to those involved that, while the investigation process takes place, they must remain in a telework regime;
- Considering the nature of the complaint, an administrative investigation committee was created for the case, based on national and funder regulations and procedures;
- Thus, the UGPE, depending on the findings of the Investigation, will act accordingly, respecting and complying with the entire legal framework regarding the matter at hand.
