World Bank Mission Evaluates Implementation of the Covid-19 Emergency Response Project

A World Bank mission to support the Government in the implementation of the Covid-19 Emergency Response Project began on Monday (5).

The mission, led by World Bank Senior Economist Edson Araújo, also includes specialists from the International Finance Corporation – IFC, composed of Eunice Mabika (IFC Investment Officer) and Paul da Rita (Senior PPP Specialist, IFC Consultant) to support the implementation of the public and private partnership (Public-Private Partnership – PPP) of the Cape Verde Hospital.

This is a periodic monitoring and evaluation to review the progress of the implementation of the Emergency Response Project COVID-19 FY II and FY III, in addition the experts will finalize the restructuring package of the Emergency Response Project COVID-19 – FY III and likewise discuss the adjustments needed to streamline the project implementation as well as the definition of next steps.

The Special Projects Management Unit was represented by its Coordinator and manager of the referred project, Nuno Gomes, in the meetings held this morning, accompanied by the World Bank Resident Representative based in Praia, Eneida Fernandes.
