The 2nd quarterly meeting of the technical committee took place this Monday morning, 26, in order to assess the performance of the implementation of activities, as well as ways to address the main challenges in the implementation of the project.
This meeting was chaired by the National Planning Director, Gilson de Pina, and co-chaired by the Coordinator of UGPE, Nuno Gomes, and was attended by representatives of institutions that are beneficiaries of the Resilient Tourism and Blue Economy Development project, namely, Municipalities, Cape Verde Tourism Institute, IPC – Institute of Cultural Heritage, INGT – National Institute for Territorial Management, among others.
On the occasion, it was also presented the status of ongoing activities that was in charge of the project manager, Aguinaldo Marçal.
According to the National Planning Director, this is an opportune moment for the analysis and evaluation of the process, and the evolution of the technical capacity of the team that has been working on issues related to project implementation.
The Resilient Tourism and Blue Economy Development project is implemented by the Ministry of Finance and Business Development through the Special Projects Management Unit, and aims to increase diversity and resilience in the tourism offer, as well as the participation of SMEs in tourism-related value chains in specific destinations.
