World Bank carries out a pre-appraisal mission for the Project to Improve Connectivity and Urban Infrastructure in Cape Verde

A team of experts from the World Bank is on a mission to Cape Verde from June 12 to 21 to support the government in preparing the Project to Improve Connectivity and Urban Infrastructure in Cape Verde.

 

The mission met this Monday, June 12, with the national team, namely specialists from the Ministry of Infrastructure, Planning, Territory and Housing and the Ministry of Finance and Business Development, to discuss the next steps in the project preparation.

 

This mission aims to discuss the preparation of the technical aspects of the above mentioned project, which will include the following objectives: (i) clarify outstanding issues regarding the project design and agree on the results framework; (ii) finalize the preparation of the Project Appraisal Document (PAD); (iii) ensure that the project is being prepared in full compliance with the Bank’s Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) instruments; and (iv) agree on the next steps for the appraisal and negotiation phases.
