From September 19 to 21, in Praia, a training session will be held aimed at focal points for Hospital Waste Management in the various health structures in the country.
This training course is a result of the project to Strengthen Hospital Waste Management as part of the response to Covid-19, and has the financial support of the World Bank through the Special Project Management Unit of the Ministry of Finance and Business Development.
The opening ceremony that took place today, September 19th, was chaired by the Executive Director of the National Institute of Public Health, Júlio Rodrigues, and was attended by the project’s Environmental and Social Specialist at the Special Projects Management Unit, Larissa Varela.
During the training, strategic documents for waste management in Cabo Verde will be presented, namely, the National Policy for Waste Management, the National Strategic Plan for Waste Management, as well as the National Plan for Hospital Waste Management.
