As in the previous year, the World Bank is promoting a training session on May 8 and 9 in Praia for employees of the Special Projects Management Unit and entities involved in the implementation of projects for which the UGPE is responsible for fiduciary execution. The objective is to develop and train the trainees so that they can use their individual and institutional skills more efficiently and effectively.
This training is a good opportunity to boost the activities related to the implementation of ongoing projects, and is part of the World Bank’s mission on Procurement that will take place from May 8 to 12.
The session will take place in the modality of group work and practical exercises, consisting in the elaboration of Terms of Reference and analysis of Evaluation Criteria for Consulting Proposals and qualification of works.
It should be noted that UGPE’s Procurement department deals with contracting and acquisitions. It is responsible for planning, programming, contracting and contract management, of works, services and goods, within the legal and regulatory framework of procurement established by the funders.
