Consultancy to support the Government in the implementation of the new structure for the electric power sector

Under the #Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency Improvement in Public Services Project, the Special Projects Management Unit started this Monday (26), a consultancy with the purpose of supporting the Task Force in the implementation of the new energy sector structure and preparation of the Privatization of Electra.

 

Among the highlights, meetings are scheduled with the Task Force members as well as institutions that are active in the energy sector, namely the Ministry of Energy, Electra and ARME.

 

On June 26 and 27, the consultant Pedro Antmann met with members of the Task Force and UGPE, represented by the Coordinator, Nuno Gomes and the Project Manager, Daniel Santos, to discuss the work methodology and adjustments to the agenda. In the afternoon the Consultant met with the Task Force to analyze the restructuring plan and define next steps.

 

It should be noted that this project is funded by the World Bank and the Government of Cape Verde and aims to increase the production of renewable energy and improve the performance of the electricity sector in Cape Verde, leveraging private financing.
