Training action on Family Support and Productive Inclusion for municipal social technicians

The Ministry of Family, Inclusion and Social Development, through the General Directorate for Social Inclusion, DGIS, has a training action underway at national level, aimed at municipal social teams, within the scope of the implementation of the Human Capital Project (HCP).

This training action aims to improve the social intervention of municipal technicians who will implement activities at the municipality level, providing them with information and tools for better monitoring of beneficiary families. These tools include a better understanding of the digital family monitoring platform and also the new procedures of the social and productive inclusion program.

118 municipal technicians will be trained, and the action has already taken place in the city of Porto Novo, from July 4th to 7th, in São Vicente and Sal, on July 10th to 12th respectively.

In the coming weeks they will take place in the city of Praia (from July 18 to 20 including participants from Maio and Ribeira Grande de Santiago), Santa Catarina (from July 19 to 21 including participants from SSM and SLO), Boavista (from July 25 to 27) São Filipe (from July 25 to 27 including participants from Mosteiros, Sta Catarina and Brava), São Miguel (from August 01 to 03 including participants from Tarrafal and Sta Cruz), São Domingos (August 01 to 03) and Ribeira Brava and Tarrafal de São Nicolau on a date to be confirmed.

It should be noted that the Human Capital Project, PCH aims to strengthen the access of families in extreme or absolute poverty to basic services and social and productive inclusion.

In particular, subcomponent 3.2 aims to contribute to the expansion of Family Support (FSS) and Productive Inclusion (PI) to all 22 (twenty-two) municipalities in the country, focusing on beneficiaries of social protection measures to ensure greater impact on improving their living conditions.

Financed by the World Bank, the PCH will allow the Government to continue this work of making an inclusion through production and increasing the income of families in situations of social vulnerability.
