A consulting firm, hired by the Government of Cape Verde with funding from the World Bank, is carrying out a mission in the country on May 14 and 15 to support the implementation of the Cape Verde Hospital (HCV).<\/p>\n

On the first day of the mission, the team met with various stakeholders involved in the hospital’s feasibility study to discuss the Clinical Model and National Health System Requirements, aligning clinical and health strategies with the expectations of the National Health System in Cape Verde.<\/p>\n

This consultancy plays a crucial role in defining the next steps and ensuring an in-depth analysis of the Cape Verde Hospital’s needs and requirements, thus contributing to the advancement of this healthcare project.<\/p>\n

The Cape Verde Hospital comes in the face of significant challenges faced by the Cape Verdean government in providing specialized health services, due to a lack of infrastructure and qualified medical personnel, leading many patients to seek treatment abroad.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
To address these challenges, the government is developing the Hospital de Cabo Verde (HCV) project in a public-private partnership (PPP) aimed at expanding and raising the quality of tertiary healthcare in the country, reducing dependence on treatment abroad.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
