The Special Projects Management Unit in partnership with the Ministry of Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Housing through the Housing Directorate and the Cape Verdean Institute for Gender Equality and Equity held last Friday, March 24, a training session for the technicians of the Habitat Regeneration Program – Praia, on the environmental and social commitments linked to the Human Capital project, including the World Bank’s environmental and social standards and the national regulatory framework in these areas.
During the training, topics such as the concept of the PRH-Praia, the beneficiary selection criteria, the environmental and social norms linked to the Human Capital project, and the measures to prevent and respond to gender-based violence, Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, and Sexual Harassment were addressed.
With this training action, the technicians will be better prepared to work the actions listed in the human capital project and will also improve the performance of the beneficiaries of the Habitat Regeneration Program.
