On May 21 and 22, the Special Projects Management Unit (UGPE), in partnership with the National Water and Sanitation Agency (ANAS), held a training session aimed at raising community awareness about the rational use of resources and pollution control in the Pensamento and São Pedro neighborhoods.
Around 35 household representatives took part in the session, aimed at promoting sustainable practices in water management, sanitation and the efficient use of electricity. This training is fundamental to strengthening both families and the community as a whole, encouraging a positive and lasting impact.
This event is part of the Beach Habitat Regeneration Program, which is linked to the Human Capital Project, managed by the UGPE and financed by the World Bank. UGPE was represented by Environmental and Social Specialist Larissa Varela and Electromechanical Engineer Izauda Monteiro. Specialists Vera Garcia and Elsa Fortes represented ANAS.
The Human Capital Project aims to improve housing conditions and facilitate access to basic services, improving the living conditions of vulnerable families in selected neighborhoods in the municipality of Praia.
