With funding from the government, through the World Bank, the rehabilitation took place as part of the Resilient Tourism and Development of the Blue Economy Project and was handed over in the early afternoon of Friday, July 26, at a ceremony presided over by the Prime Minister of Cape Verde, José Ulisses Correia e Silva, the Canal Bridge was completely rehabilitated.
