The Mission of the Administrators of the African Development Bank (ADB) visited, this Thursday, March 16, the facilities of the Data Center, to know and understand its operation.
The delegation was received by the Secretary of State for Digital Economy, Pedro Lopes, accompanied by the Board of Directors of NOSI and was also present the Coordinator of UGPE, Nuno Gomes, as well as the Project Manager of the Technology Park, Carlos Delgado.
On the occasion, initiatives of the digital system were presented to the delegation and the construction of the Technological Park buildings was demonstrated, which represent the physical part of the digital ecosystem in Cape Verde.
It should be noted that the Technology Park is a project funded by the ADB and aims to enhance the development, visibility and marketing of e-gov, e-education and financial services, foster a climate of innovation and technological entrepreneurship, establish partnerships with international players of reference in the sector.
It should be noted that there are a total of 7 ADB Directors – representing about 25 countries. And this mission is part of the annual visits of Directors of the African Development Bank (ADB) to African countries. The last ADB mission to Cape Verde on this scale dates back to 2004, i.e. almost 20 years ago.
