Official Launch of the Electronic Self-Invoicing System

Today, February 7, the National Directorate of State Revenue (DNRE) held the “Official Launch of the Electronic Self-Invoicing System”. This is a process in which customers themselves take responsibility for issuing invoices relating to the purchase of goods or services. Although the invoices are drawn up by the purchaser, they are legally treated as if they were issued by the supplier, thus simplifying commercial transactions.

This initiative is in line with the #Government’s tax reform measures, which seek to create a modern, fair and efficient tax system that is key to promoting economic competitiveness. Electronic self-invoicing aims to make it easier for economic operators to prove costs by following specific requirements established for processing invoices.

In addition, electronic self-invoicing brings several advantages for suppliers, including greater social security coverage, easier access to credit and a reduction in the tax burden. This change is key to boosting the entry of these sectors into the formal market.

In short, the launch of the #Electronic Self-Invoicing System represents an important step in simplifying tax processes and strengthening the economy, offering benefits to both buyers and suppliers, and promoting the formalization of key sectors of economic activity.
