As part of the activities of the Human Capital Project financed by the World Bank, today, July 30th, the symbolic handover of completely refurbished houses to families in the Pensamento and São Pedro neighborhoods took place, with 44 homes being included.
It should be noted that this activity is part of the interventions of the Human Capital Project financed by the World Bank, aimed at improving access to basic services and better living conditions for vulnerable families in the neighborhoods of the municipality of Praia by financing housing rehabilitation works and upgrading the surrounding area under the MIHOT Habitat Regeneration Program.
As part of this, work has already been completed in the Calabaceira, Safende, Pensamento and São Pedro neighborhoods, and plans are underway to include families in other neighborhoods in the municipality of Praia. To date, around 300 homes have benefited.
The Special Projects Management Unit was represented by the manager of the Human Capital Project, Clarisse Silva, and the event was also attended by the Minister of State for Family, Inclusion and Social Development, Dr. Fernando Elísio Freire, and the Minister for Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Housing, Eng.ª Eunice Silva.
