As part of the Social Inclusion Project, Productive Inclusion component, 35 business reinforcement kits were delivered this Wednesday, March 15, in the Municipality of São Miguel to beneficiaries in the areas of agriculture and livestock, civil construction, sewing, diving, small business, aesthetics, refrigeration and air conditioning under this project. These beneficiaries, who receive the business reinforcement kit, participated in a training action in small business management and entrepreneurship, financial education and social skills, giving them tools to better manage their businesses.
The Coordinator of the Special Projects Management Unit, Nuno Gomes, and the Social Inclusion Project Manager, Ermelinda Lima, were present at the delivery ceremony, which was chaired by the Minister of Family, Inclusion and Social Development, Fernando Elísio Freire, and co-chaired by the Mayor of São Miguel, Herménio Celso Fernandes.
The Social Inclusion Project funded by the World Bank, benefited in this pilot phase, about 2,000 (two thousand) families of the 4,500 (four thousand and five hundred) RSI beneficiary families, in the Productive Inclusion strand. The objective of this project is to strengthen the potentialities of the SII beneficiary families, through a set of actions, procedures, instruments and mechanisms, in articulation with the employment and vocational training area, enabling them to engage in income generating activities, to improve their living conditions.
