Ekonatura receives visit from UGPE and BAD as part of the Technology Park Project

On Wednesday, September 24, Ekonatura received a visit from a delegation composed of representatives from UGPE, the Technology Park Project Manager, Carlos Delgado, as well as environmental and social experts Larissa Varela and Ermelinda Lima, accompanied by representatives from the African Development Bank (AfDB), the project’s financing entity.

The team was welcomed by administrator João Ferreira, who presented the main activities and initiatives developed by the institution.

It should be noted that Ekonatura is a community recycling eco-center, created in 2019 as part of a partnership between the University of Cape Verde (UNI-CV), Eco-CV, Raiz Azul, and the São Francisco Community Association. The center’s mission is to reduce the environmental impact of solid urban waste, with a special focus on plastic, promoting sustainable practices and the circular economy.
