The Coordinator of the Special Projects Management Unit, Nuno Gomes, accompanied by the Manager of the Resilient Tourism and Blue Economy Development Project, Vladimir Fonseca, welcomed, on the morning of Tuesday, September 23, the Mayor of Paúl, Adilson Fernandes, and the Councilor responsible for Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Planning, and Land Use, Kleiton Rodrigues.
At the meeting, the Coordinator presented the status of the ongoing tenders for the rehabilitation of trails in the municipality of Paúl, which aim to enhance safety and boost tourism in the region. The works, which are part of the Resilient Tourism and Blue Economy Development Project, financed by the World Bank, include earthworks, excavations, and masonry work to restore and improve the trails.
The municipality shared complementary projects and initiatives designed to enhance the ongoing interventions in order to maximize the impact of the works on local development.
The meeting allowed the UGPE and the Paúl City Council to align their strategies regarding the rehabilitation of the trails, strengthening institutional cooperation. The meeting took place during a trip by the mayor to the city of Praia for meetings and work coordination.
