UGPE receives first Technical Mission from the Cayambe Group as part of the Human Capital Project

The UGPE Coordinator, Nuno Gomes, accompanied by the Human Capital Project Manager, Clarisse Silva, and the Procurement Manager, Ildo Varela, met today, April 4, with the consulting team from the Cayambe Group, which is supporting the Ministry of Education in the reform and development of a new financing model for Higher Education in Cape Verde.
The meeting took place as part of the consultancy team’s first field mission to the country, dedicated to diagnosing and assessing the current situation of the higher education funding system.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of Higher Education, Romualdo Correia, and consultants Jamil Salmi and José Luis Mascarenhas.
This initiative is part of Component 1 of the Human Capital Project, funded by the World Bank, and represents another step in the Cape Verde government’s commitment to improving access, equity and sustainability in the higher education sector.
