On Friday, May 31, the technical delegations from Guinea-Bissau and São Tomé and Príncipe visited the Special Projects Management Unit (UGPE).
During the meeting with the Project Manager, Guevara Cruz, the progress of the Digital Cape Verde Project (DCV), financed to the tune of 20 million USD, was presented. Cape Verde’s experience in the digital area and the challenges faced during the execution of the project were discussed.
The challenges of governance, the activities of the project’s beneficiary institutions, the dynamics of the project, guaranteed engagement and accumulated experience were highlighted.
The mission, made up of 22 technicians and led by the World Bank’s Senior Digital Development Specialist, Daniel Nogueira, aims to explore Cape Verde’s advances in digital maturity.
The visit, which takes place from May 27 to 31, 2024, aims to develop a platform for the exchange of knowledge and successful practices, adaptable to the two beneficiary countries of digital projects financed by the World Bank, similar to Digital Cabo Verde.
The week’s activities include knowledge-sharing sessions, concentrated at the Techpark over the first two days of the study visit. Several meetings were held, bringing together entities that play a key role in the Cape Verde government’s digital ecosystem.
