Steering Committee of the Harmonization and Improvement of Statistics in West Africa Project holds meeting to approve activity plan for 2024

At the alignment meeting held on Tuesday (28), the Steering Committee of the Harmonization and Improvement of Statistics in West Africa Project, under the leadership of the President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Business Development, Dr. Olavo Correia, carried out an analysis of the actions developed throughout 2023 and defined guidelines to optimize the effective implementation of the project’s activities.

 

The meeting highlighted not only the progress made so far, but also addressed strategies for intensifying actions planned for 2024. The session provided an opportunity to exchange expertise, identify technical challenges and propose innovative solutions.

 

This meeting of the Steering Committee reaffirms the ongoing commitment to technical excellence and the search for strategic approaches to achieve the project’s objectives in an efficient and innovative manner.

 

The project is currently in its 30th monthly execution, with an execution rate of 47%. Its activities are subdivided into three components, one of the main ones being Harmonization, data collection, quality improvement, dissemination and use of the main social and economic statistics, highlighting the ongoing commitment to transparency and quality in the collection of statistical data.
