On Tuesday, January 27, the Government of Cape Verde launched Skodji Digital, a national digital training program that aims to create real employment and income opportunities for Cape Verdean youth by developing skills aligned with the demands of the global digital labor market.
#SkodjiDigital is designed to benefit up to 3,000 young Cape Verdeans by promoting access to remote work opportunities, the global gig economy, and the development of digital micro-businesses.
Phase 1 of the program is funded by the #WorldBank, under the #ProjetoDigitalCaboVerde, and is implemented by the Ministry of Digital Economy, with technical support from a consortium of national and international partners.
The training phase will last between two and six months, depending on the training path selected, and provides structured training in digital skills aligned with global market demand, targeted access to international digital employment and freelance platforms, career activation in emerging digital sectors, and pathways to digital entrepreneurship.
Applications for the program are now open and will run until February 25, through the official platform www.skodjidigital.cv
