UGPE Annual Review Meeting assesses 2015 results and sets priorities for 2026

On December 11, the Special Projects Management Unit (UGPE) held its Annual Review Meeting, a gathering that takes place every year with the aim of evaluating the activities carried out throughout the year, analyzing the main challenges, and defining the strategic outlook for the following year.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the participation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Olavo Correia, who, in his speech, praised the strategic role of the UGPE in implementing structural projects for the country’s development. The minister highlighted the importance of teamwork, acknowledged the excellent performance of the UGPE team, and the results achieved throughout the year. He also stressed that, despite the progress made, there is always room to do more and better, encouraging the team to continue working with dedication for the development of Cape Verde, reinforcing that “unity is strength.”
Chaired by the UGPE Coordinator, Nuno Gomes, the meeting was held under the theme “Valuing Human Capital – Celebrating Progress, Inspiring Tomorrow.” On this occasion, the annual review of activities, the main challenges and achievements were discussed, as well as the recognition of the commitment and dedication of the entire team. The strategic vision for 2026 was also presented, focusing on strengthening the efficiency, innovation, and impact of the projects implemented.
The meeting also included other relevant institutional interventions and a special tribute to employee Amaro Costa, in recognition of his contribution, dedication, and professional career at the institution.
The meeting ended with the dynamic “The #strength of #teamwork at UGPE,” reinforcing the spirit of unity, cooperation, and collective commitment, values that continue to guide UGPE’s actions in pursuing its institutional objectives.
