Launch ceremony for the extension of the Social and Productive Inclusion Program

The launch ceremony for the #ProgramadeInclusãoSocialeProdutiva took place on Friday, April 12, in the municipality of Ribeira Grande de Santiago and was presided over by the Minister for Family, Inclusion and Social Development, Fernando Elísio Freire.

The Special Projects Management Unit was represented by its Coordinator, Nuno Gomes, and by the Human Capital Project Manager, Clarisse Silva.

Also present were the programme’s implementing partners, including the World Bank, representatives from the local councils, training institutions and various non-governmental organizations.

This initiative, part of the #HumanCapitalProject, is funded by the World Bank and is an initiative of the Cape Verdean government. It is worth noting that the program will be expanded to the country’s 22 municipalities, with an estimated target audience of around 5,720 households.

It should be noted that the beneficiaries will be women representing families with children up to the age of 15 and up to the age of 50, as well as single-parent households in group 1 of the Single Social Registry who have never participated in the Productive Inclusion Program.

During the event, certificates were handed out to the beneficiaries of Productive Inclusion, marking a significant moment of recognition and celebration of the progress that has already been made.
