From February 19 to 23, 2024, a Mission to Support the Implementation of the #DigitalCapeVerde Project, led by the #WorldBank, is underway. This mission is underway, involving a series of working meetings with local entities, including project beneficiaries such as ARME, NOSI, DNRE, ME, the Competitiveness Unit and Cabo Verde Digital (PRO EMPRESA).
On the second day of the mission, the World Bank team, led by Camila Mejia Giraldo (Senior Digital Development and TTL Specialist), remained committed to addressing the objectives outlined in the meetings. They remain dedicated to analyzing the progress of the implementation of the Cabo Verde Digital Project, with a focus on reviewing the development objectives and supporting the resolution of any challenges identified.
The team is being accompanied by the Coordinator of the UGPE Special Projects Management Unit, Nuno Gomes and the Digital Cape Verde Project Manager, Guevara Cruz, and by specialists in various areas, such as Digital Development, Private Sector Development, Social Development, Procurement, Financial Management and Environmental Analysis.
These meetings also include progress reviews of project-related activities, focusing on the progress of the Cabo Verde Digital Project, under the supervision of the World Bank Mission.
